Cherry Tree Fly trap
The cherry tree fly (Rhagoletis cerasi) is an insect that lays its eggs in unripe cherry fruits to allow the larvae to grow by feeding on the flesh of these fruits.
The damage caused by the bite of the cherry fruit fly is considerable as it causes the fruit to drop early with consequent loss of the crop, as well as altering the quality of the cherry.
